This Week in cKidz
Hi parents, This week in cKidz, we kicked off a brand-new series all about shining bright with God’s love! We learned that God created light, and God is light. The kids learned that God’s light has always shined and is still shining today! Jesus is the Light of the World, and His light shines wherever He goes! 🌎💛 This coming week, we’re learning how we can follow Jesus and let His light shine through us! This Week in cKidz
Hi parents! This week in cKidz, we continued our Old Testament all-stars series with the incredible story of Joseph. Kids looked at Genesis 50:19-21 and learned how Joseph chose to do the right thing even when everything around him seemed to be falling apart. We reminded kids that obedience isn’t always easy, but God honors our choices to follow Him, especially in tough moments. Joseph’s story helped us see how God can use even the hardest situations for something good. Ask at home: “Can you tell me about a time you chose to do the right thing even when it was hard?” Grateful to be on this journey with your family! - Chloe Eskew

We’re starting something FUN in cKidz! Kids can earn a punch on their card when they bring their Bible, remember their memory verse, show kindness, clean up, and respect their teachers. Parents, help us remind your kids to come prepared, make good choices, and have fun learning about Jesus! We can’t wait to see everyone’s punch cards fill up!

This Week in cKidz
Hi parents! This week in cKidz we kicked off our new series all about Old Testament all-stars. Kids got to meet Noah, a true Hall of Famer when it comes to faith! We focused on Hebrews 11:7 and talked about how Noah trusted what God said even when it didn’t make sense. Kids learned that following God sometimes means trusting Him even when the situation looks confusing. We encouraged them to look for ways they can believe God’s truth in their everyday lives. This week in cKidz
Hi parents! This week in cKidz, we talked about erasers – and how Jesus does something way better than erasing pencil marks! In Psalm 51:1-2, we learned that Jesus erases our sins completely when we ask for His forgiveness. He gives us a clean heart and helps us live the way God wants us to. The kids were amazed to hear that no mistake is too big for Jesus to erase! Bottom Line: Jesus erases our sins and enables us to live righteous lives! Ask your child: “What does it feel like to have your sins forgiven? Why do you think it’s important to ask Jesus for a clean heart?” We’re celebrating clean slates and second chances – thank you, Jesus! - Chloe Eskew

This Week in cKidz
Hey families! This week, we got out the pencil sharpener – not just to sharpen pencils, but to talk about how God’s people sharpen each other! We read Proverbs 27:17, which says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” We talked about how friends can help us grow stronger in our faith by encouraging us, challenging us, and pointing us toward Jesus. Bottom Line: God’s people sharpen each other! Ask your child: “Who’s a friend that helps you make wise choices? This Week in cKidz
Hey parents! This week in cKidz, we pulled out our highlighters and focused on something super important – God’s greatest commandment! In Matthew 22:37-39, Jesus reminds us that the most important thing we can do is love God and love others. That’s something we definitely want our kids to highlight (and live out!) every day at home, school, and everywhere they go. Bottom Line: God’s greatest commandment is that we love God and others! Try this at home: • Ask your child: “Who is someone you can show God’s love to this week?” • Practice saying the Great Commandment together – it’s a great verse to memorize! Thanks for helping your child shine bright!

Casa Aleluya Mission Trip to Guatemala
Many children in Guatemala have been taken from their homes by the government because of abuse, mistreatment, or abandonment. Casa Aleluya is a non-profit organization, 501(c)3, providing medical, educational, and spiritual care for children and a loving place they can call home. These children grow up happy and healthy while learning the love of Christ. Our Care & Outreach Pastors, Tim and Teresa Landrum, are organizing a mission trip to Casa Aleluya on June 6-12, 2027!

Update from our Missionary Partners- Kelly & Katharina Grizzard
Here is our latest family picture. I think about how long many of you have followed us on our journey. You have essentially watched the Grizzard Girls grow up. Do you remember this picture from 2019? Spring Break 2026 In March, during spring break, LMI hosted a team of 11 to continue our work in the Texas Hill Country, which was flooded last year. We built chicken coops at 2 different locations and did a lot of debris removal. We prayed and loved on these people that have been forgotten as most of the recovery is done. We sent a second team out there to finish projects we could not complete. Once again I can’t explain how much it means to me to be doing this with my family. Unfortunately Miriam could not make this outreach because she was preparing her application to Dental Hygiene School. She has been working so hard even when her knee was troubling her.. Guess what!!!! She made it! Kyrgyzstan Just this week we had a team return from Kyrgyzstan where they assisted with a local church’s first summer kids camp. The team thought they would be serving the church's children but must of the children that came were m*slim. We had to be very careful about what we shared prior to their return. The good news is going forth deep into areas we had no idea would be available to our young organization. What is next for LMI? We have also been building an outreach in July to Portland, Oregon. This will have a strong evangelistic outreach while we look for ways we can provide relief to those in need. Finally This Sunday, June 14, Love Mercy International had our first Fundraiser. We have been working on this Fundraiser since March when we found out our lease ends in August. The owners would like to sell and we would like to buy. Please say a prayer as the owners are asking for $1,050,000.00. We have already leased $480,000 and hope to raise the rest. This is the office and there is a large arena in the back. I will have more pictures of it in our next update. Katharina completed a DiscipleShip Training School in 2003 which allows us to have our gifts processed through YWAM in her name.

A Few of My Favorite Things Heading in to Fall
I thought I would do something just for fun today! I love reading articles about what everyone else’s current favorite things are, so here is mine! First up, we all know I am a planner girly. I absolutely love them and usually change them out a few times a year. Right now, I am pretty set on the Full Focus planner. It is a quarterly planner that has goals, monthly set ups, weekly set ups, weekly reviews and two pages per day. I’m also able to use it as a journal. It is so helpful for everything I have going on right now. The only downside is that it is not pre-dated and you have to set it up. However, I enjoy doing it so it really isn’t a downside for me. Next up is my fall bag. I had my heart set on an oxblood colored bag in a satchel style. I fell in love with a Patricia Nash one that isn’t made anymore and finally found one on Poshmark. The color and style is gorgeous and I have always loved the inside of Patricia Nash Bags. Perfect for Fall!! I don’t use a lot of candles because of allergies, asthma and migraines. So, I diffuse a lot of essential oils. This is my favorite one for fall! It is Simplified by Young Living, the Warm Pumpkin Spice. I need to order some so I had to use a stock photo. When I am in the mood for a candle I use Root candles. They are made with beeswax and essential oils and they have a pumpkin spice one that smells lovely as well! Lastly, I know, I know.. but it is what it is; I love pumpkin spice creamer and my favorite is Chobani! Ok, What are a few of your favorite things?

"Who Are You Listening To?"
My devotion today was out of this passage of scripture: “Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take, or sit in the company of mockers but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who mediates on his law day and night. This person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither - whatever they do prospers.” - Psalms 1:1-3 For me today, this passage made me think about where I get counsel and advice from.I think we underestimate how easily we can be influenced. It matters more than we think who is in our inner circle that we trust to give us direction or feedback. Even what we think of as harmless venting can open the door to seeds of bad counsel. I think this is extremely important in leadership. When you have the responsibility of leading others, you better be sure that not only are you yourself meditating and delighting in the Word of God but those you receive counsel from are as well. Is the person you are listening to like a tree planted by streams of water? Are they yielding fruit? Is whatever they are doing prospering? If not, maybe it isn’t a good idea to let them speak into your life. You can be friends, co-workers but should they be of counsel? This doesn’t go only for leadership.. but for me, it is also as a wife and when I was raising a family, as a mom as well. Are you receiving Godly advice from someone who has been there and tried to do it God’s way; or are you letting someone who has a negative view of marriage and family give you advice? Are you telling all of your business to someone who isn’t raising their family on Christ centered values? Are they life-giving or draining. Godly counsel doesn’t always tell us what we want to hear. They don’t always agree with us or validate our frustration. Most of the time, the wisest person in our circle will challenge us to look at scripture or remind us to check our own heart. There have been more times than I count of when I wanted someone to agree with me but what I needed was someone to point me back to God. I need people in my life who help me stay planted not just tell me what I want to hear. Just some thoughts to ponder today. I believe when you are aligned with the Word and with an inner circle that is wise and meditates on the Word of God it will make you feel fruitful, productive, nourished, stable and at peace even when things don’t go the way you think they should. Who are you giving permission to speak into your life and are they helping you stay planted?
